Student Leader Initiative

Last term our Student Leaders presented their recycling project at the P&C meeting. The Leaders have been determined to reduce the amount of waste that goes into our red bins as it negatively effects our environment. The P&C kindly donated money for our school to purchase 4 recycling bins which have been installed in the playground. Thank you so much to the P&C! Solar students are now working on a project to promote the correct use of the recycle bins to reduce our waste that is going to landfill.

Paper lunch bags, cans, plastic bottles and poppas are some of the items that can be recycled. Our Leaders encourage everyone to recycle at home too!

Thank You P&C

We wish to thank our P&C who recently allocated funds to purchase STEM equipment for our students. Having a sufficient amount of laptops and safe-housing for them supports our students' accessibility and keeps the resources well kept.

We are embedding the technology purchased within the library learning space where co-teaching integrated units through the incorporation of technology supports our learners to develop their skills in ICT.

Supporting the Transition to School Video Series

Starting school is a very exciting time for children. They’ll meet friends, learn new skills and build relationships with their teachers. Almost 90% of a child’s brain development happens before they turn five years old. Skills and behaviours learnt during the early years can help children to have a smooth start to kindergarten and throughout life.

This video series provides practical ideas to help parents, carers, Early Childhood Educators and teachers to support a positive start to school.
