Welcome to Week 3!

It has definitely been a busy start to the term with T20 cricket for Years 3-6 this week and last week, Year 6’s Safe Journeys Excursion on Tuesday, Grandparents’ Day and Confirmation Retreat Day today! You can read more information about the Excursion and T20 cricket in the Year 6s’ reflections below and on the Senior Update page. Well done to the 3/4s who had their T20 cricket day today! Next week, the senior students begin their ‘Speak with Power’ program, our Confirmation candidates will celebrate the Sacrament on Thursday night at St Paul’s Cathedral, and we have a school closure day next Friday!

Last Friday, the senior students had the T20 Cricket Blast! It was so fun because we played so many teams from other schools, and it was a great experience because we won a lot of our games. There were two teams, All Stars and Future Stars, and my dad was coaching the Future Stars team! It was a great day for people who don’t know how to play cricket because it was nice weather and the rules were simplified.

I thought we showed very good sportsmanship to each other at the T20 cricket. My favourite part of the day was bowling and batting, and I like how we all had a go and also had fun. Cricket is a very fun sport. Everyone did very well!

Alfred

At T20, there were two teams, and everyone got placed with friends, so everyone had a super fun time! My favourite thing was batting with one of my friends.

As you know, we were at T20 last Friday, and there were two teams called the All Stars and the Future Stars. In the All Stars there was Bridget, Pip, Max, Callum, Jamie, Nicco, Benji, Cooper and Spencer. Unfortunately, T20 was our last interschool sport for the Year 6s! The next school sports event will be the swimming carnival!

Max

I loved T20, we had a lot of fun, and we won three games and lost 2. We played really hard and we all had so much fun. It was a great way to end the Dendy competitions, and I will miss them. I can’t wait for the swimming carnival! See you there!
