2026 Senior Learning Centre

Thank you to the parents who joined us for our recent 2026 Senior Learning Center Information Session. It was wonderful to see such a strong turnout and to share the exciting plans for our senior students next year. We appreciate the positive feedback and trust shown in us as we plan for the continued growth and success of our students.
In 2026, our senior learning area will move to a composite Year 5/6 class structure. This approach allows us to provide a rich and connected learning environment where students benefit from collaboration, peer mentoring, and leadership opportunities.
We are particularly excited to introduce a 5 week transition program later this term to help prepare our 2026 Year 5 and Year 6 students for this next chapter of their schooling. The program will support a smooth transition, build excitement, and foster the sense of pride that comes with being the leaders of our school.
While we are adopting a composite structure for 2026, it’s important to note that this decision is made specifically for next year. Each year, class structures are carefully reviewed based on enrolments, student needs, and school priorities. These decisions are always made in consultation with our Consultative Committee and School Advisory Council to ensure they reflect what is best for our students and school community.
The slides from Tuesday’s Information Session are attached for those who were unable to attend or would like to view the information shared. We welcome parents to speak with Annabelle or me if they have any questions or would like to discuss the 2026 structure further.
We look forward to continuing to work in partnership with families as we prepare our senior learners for an exciting and rewarding 2026.
