Yellow Class News             Miss Jeffs

It’s hard to believe we’ve already reached the final term of the year! Our class is continuing to build on the skills and knowledge developed throughout the year, while also diving into new and exciting areas of learning.

Literacy

This term, we’re strengthening our spelling skills and learning new sounds. We’ll also be expanding our writing abilities by exploring how to use compound and complex sentences. In addition, students will continue developing both handwriting and typing skills.

Mathematics

In Maths, we’ll be applying our prior knowledge to solve more complex problems. Students will learn how to adapt familiar strategies and concepts to tackle new challenges.

Science

Our Science unit will continue to explore forces — particularly pushes and pulls — and how these forces affect the movement of objects. We’ll investigate how different forces can start, stop, or change the direction of movement.

Art

We’re excited to explore new and interesting forms of media in Art this term. Students will have the opportunity to manipulate different materials to create imaginative and unique artworks.

Reminders

As the warmer weather returns, please remember: no hat, no play. To avoid disappointment, make sure your child has a clearly labelled hat at school each day.

We’re looking forward to a fun-filled and productive Term 4 as we wrap up an incredible year of learning!
