Red Class
Miss Graham
Welcome to Term 4! It’s hard to believe we’ve reached the final term of the school year. We have an exciting and busy few weeks ahead as we continue to build on all the great learning from earlier in the year.
Literacy
Kindergarten and Year One are continuing to strengthen their phonics knowledge and handwriting skills. We will keep developing these areas to support students’ reading, spelling and writing confidence.
Mathematics
In Maths, students will continue to build their understanding of number concepts while exploring two and three dimensional shapes, area, volume and time. We will also revise key concepts taught earlier in the year to consolidate learning.
Science
Our Science unit this term focuses on the Physical World. Students will explore how objects move and the effects of push and pull forces. Through hands-on activities, they will investigate how movement can be changed by different actions and materials.
HSIE
Students will continue to explore the concept of Place by learning about their own homes and local environments. They will discuss where they live, what their homes look like, and how these places are represented on maps.
Creative Arts
Students will continue to enjoy both Visual Arts and Drama activities, providing opportunities for creativity, expression and imagination.
Library and Sport
Library day remains on Monday, and Friday continues to be our sport day. Please remember to send along library bags and ensure students wear suitable shoes for sport.
At Home
Please continue to read regularly with your child and support them by practising counting and recognising numerals. These small, consistent efforts make a big difference to their learning progress.
As we move through Term 4, we look forward to celebrating the wonderful growth and achievements of our students. Thank you for your continued support throughout the year.
