Welcome Back to Term 4!

Welcome back everyone! We hope you all enjoyed a restful break and are ready for an exciting Term 4. It’s hard to believe we’re in the final stretch of the year — and what a great term it’s shaping up to be!

Our Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) focus will continue this term as we keep building a strong, respectful, and supportive school culture. Students will keep earning rewards and celebrating positive choices through our weekly recognitions.

We’re also bringing back Feel Good Fridays — a great way to end the week with fun, teamwork, and a positive mindset.

A warm welcome to Mr Gullo, who joins our teaching team this term. We’re excited to have him on board and know he’ll be a wonderful addition to our school community. He will be replacing Mrs Scifleet in the Green room.

Let’s make Term 4 a positive, productive, and memorable finish to the year!

No Hat, No Play 🌞

As the weather warms up, a friendly reminder that our “No Hat, No Play” policy is now in full swing. All students must wear a broad-brimmed school hat when playing or learning outside.

Students without a hat will be asked to stay in the shade during break times. Please check that your child’s hat is clearly labelled and kept in their bag each day to ensure they can enjoy outdoor activities safely.

Let’s all work together to stay sun safe this term! 🧢☀️

Kindergarten Transition Days

We’re excited to welcome our 2026 Kindergarten students for their upcoming transition visits! Our Kindergarten Transition Days will be held on Thursday 30 October, 6 November, and 13 November, with students attending for full days.

These sessions are a wonderful opportunity for our new students to become familiar with the classroom, teachers, and school routines — helping them feel confident and ready for big school next year.

Please make sure your child brings:

  • A hat (for outdoor play and recess)
  • A water bottle
  • Morning tea and lunch
  • A small backpack

We can’t wait to see our newest learners enjoying their time at school!

Little Learners 🧸✨

Our Little Learners continues to run each Thursday from 9:15 – 11:00 am in the school hall. Families with young children are invited to come along and enjoy fun, play-based activities that help build early learning and social skills — and connect with other local families.

It’s a great way to get ready for “big school” in a friendly, welcoming environment.

We currently have vacancies available, so new families are very welcome to join! Come along and be part of the fun!

Playgroup will run each Thursday until Thursday, 11 December 2025, when we’ll wrap up for the year. We look forward to seeing our Little Learners each week! 🌟

Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) Update

We would like to inform our school community that the planned opening of our Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) service has been delayed due to low enrolments at this stage. While we are disappointed that we cannot commence as planned, we remain committed to establishing this valuable service in the near future.

Having an OSHC service onsite offers many benefits—it provides a safe, familiar, and engaging environment for students before and after school, with activities that encourage creativity, social development, and learning through play. For working families, it offers the convenience of extended care within the school grounds, supported by educators who know and understand our students.

Beyond the direct benefits to families, an OSHC service also helps strengthen student engagement, support working parents, and can contribute to increased student enrolments by making our school an even more attractive and flexible option for families.

We encourage all families who may be interested in using the service—either now or in the future—to register their interest. This will help us determine when the service can become viable to open.

📧 To express interest or learn more, please contact Thrive at admin@thriveoshc.com.au

Your support is essential to help bring this opportunity to life for our school community!
