Keep Up the Reading at Home

As we move into the final weeks of the school year, it’s important for students to continue reading regularly at home. Consistent reading helps children maintain and strengthen the skills they’ve built throughout the year—such as fluency, comprehension and vocabulary development.

Even just 10–15 minutes of reading each day can make a big difference. This might include reading aloud together, sharing favourite stories or encouraging your child to explore books, magazines or digital texts that interest them.

Keeping up the reading habit over the coming weeks helps set students up for a smooth start to the next school year and reminds them that reading can be both enjoyable and rewarding.
