PE Update – Gaelic Football & Basketball Fun!

This term in Physical Education, our students have been having an amazing time learning new skills through our Gaelic Football and Basketball programs! Students from Years 1–6 have been introduced to Gaelic Football, a fast-paced sport that combines elements of soccer, rugby, and basketball. They’ve been practising hand-passing, kicking, and teamwork skills while learning to move safely and fairly around the field. It’s been wonderful to see students encouraging one another, showing great teamwork, and developing their confidence in trying something new.

Our Prep students have been having just as much fun with a Basketball skills program designed especially for their age group. Through dribbling, passing, and shooting games, the Preps are building coordination, balance, and teamwork—all while learning to love being active.

Across all year levels, the focus has been on participation, cooperation, and having fun while being physically active. The enthusiasm and energy students have brought to each session has been incredible!

A big thank you to all students for their enthusiasm and excitement in learning a new sport, even when it seems tricky!
