Step 1: List Learning Intentions and Success Criteria We are learning to : Identify problems that we have in the yard or in the classroom Think of possible solutions to these problems and evaluate which ones are respectful and appropriate. Identify appropriate problem solving strategies for different situations.

Step 3: Identify examples and non-examples of the desired behaviour What would the behaviour look/sound like? Examples Using kind words and actions with each other Having conversations with each other when conflict occurs Coming up with ideas about how to solve a problemListening to each others ideas and thinking about which solution is the most respectful, kind and safe

Non-examples Yelling at other students when there is a problem Swearing and using disrespectful language Ignoring others when they are trying to talk to you Talking about people behind their back when you have a problem Telling your parents about friendship problems but not your classroom teacher
