What a Start to Term 4!
It’s been a super busy and exciting start to Term 4! We wrapped up the school holidays in style with plenty of fun and laughter before jumping straight into the Assessment and Rating process. We’re so proud to share that our service met all seven Quality Areas — a huge achievement for our team and community! Yay!
In our first week back, we focused on Being, Belonging, and Becoming. The children helped us make our space bright and welcoming by adding new decorations, displays, and their own creative touches to get ready for the A&R visit. It was lovely to see everyone work together, showing such pride in their environment.
Next, we explored Career Week, where the children talked about what they’d like to be when they grow up. We discussed different jobs, shared ideas, and even role-played a few — from doctors and teachers to artists and athletes! It was inspiring to see their imaginations come to life as they explored their dreams for the future.
After all that excitement, we finished off with a Child Choice Week, themed around K-pop Demon Hunters! The children took the lead, planning activities and experiences that reflected their current interests. We’ve danced, sung, and made so many epic crafts — bringing fun, creativity, and friendship to every session.
As we move further into the term, we’re excited to keep building on the children’s ideas and continue making our program a place where everyone feels a sense of belonging, pride, and joy.
WHATS NEXT FOR TERM 4
Week 4 - Halloween week (PFD Friday book now )
Week 5- Melbourne cup and animal week
Week 6- remembrance day
What an amazing spring holiday program we’ve had! This season, we embraced the outdoors and filled our days with adventure, creativity, and laughter. Our super-wild excursions were a huge hit — especially our top highlight, Gumbuya World! The children had an absolute blast exploring, playing, and making memories together (even without the water activities!).
We also had a fantastic time at the movies watching The Bad Guys 2, where everyone enjoyed seeing their favourite characters back on the big screen. Our wildlife adventure to Healesville Sanctuary was another standout, giving the children the chance to get up close with some amazing Australian animals and learn more about their habitats.
Back at the service, we welcomed special animal guests, the children got creative with crafty projects like clay beetles, tic-tac-toe boards, and digging for hidden gemstones — every day brought something new to discover.
Our themed in-house days, including The Secret Garden, Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, Footy Fever, and Animal Antics, were full of imagination, colour, and fun. It was wonderful to see the children so engaged, working together, and expressing themselves through play and creativity.
This spring program truly captured the spirit of belonging, friendship, and exploration — and we couldn’t be prouder of how much joy and enthusiasm the children brought to every experience. We’re already looking forward to our next big adventure!

Feedback and suggestions
In order to run an effective and personalised program, we rely on community involvement. The easiest way for us to ensure we are catering to the needs of your children and family is through suggestions and feedback. Please don't hesitate to speak to me directly or leave a note in our feedback box with any concerns or ideas for the service. We love hearing anything that can help us exceed.
Sun Smart Policy
☀️🤠☀️
As part of our commitment to keeping all the children safe in the sun, we’d like to remind families about our TheirCare SunSmart Policy. With the warmer weather upon us, it’s essential that all children wear a broad-brimmed hat when playing outside.
To make sure every child is protected, we ask that children bring their own hat each day. If you’d prefer, you can leave a spare hat at TheirCare, clearly labeled with your child’s name, so it’s always ready for outdoor play. We do provide sunscreen but if your child has a sensitivity we do recommend bring their own.
Thank you for helping us keep all the children sun-safe! If you have any questions about our SunSmart policy, feel free to reach out.
In order to access the OSHC service, families must register prior to booking. During the registration process, you will be asked to provide details such as emergency contacts, medical requirements, dietary needs, etc.
While booking, please remember that last-minute booking can create a hard time for staffing. Please try to book 24 hours in advance, and if needed, call the service for last-minute bookings to ensure space is available.
Enrolment
If you have a child in Foundation or wish to start attending our fantastic program in 2025, you can register at TheirCare now. Booking is not available as of yet, but I will keep you updated. It is always best to book for OSCH as far in advance as possible, to ensure we have the proper staffing ratio needed for the safety of our service.
