The Grade 1 and 2 students started the term, finishing their hibernation and migration models. I have been blown away by the quality of these projects. The students worked really hard and should be so proud of what they achieved.

This term we have switched our learning focus to Biological Sciences. We are currently learning what the basic needs are for living things. Hopefully we’ll get a chance to get outside and explore some homes of living things.
The Grade 3 and 4 students have finished their weather projects. It was great to see their understanding of what some sever weather can do to our landscape and living things, come alive in their models of their villages.

This term the grade 3 and 4 students will be studying Biological sciences. We have started to explore the idea of living things vs non living things vs once living things.

The Grade 5 and 6 students spent the first two weeks of term, finishing their Extreme Weather project. There has been some in depth information shared and some great research about real life examples. It was also great to see a few students go the extra effort and create a model to accompany their project.

This term the students have jumped straight into Biological Sciences and are creating an infographic about an extreme environment and some of the organisms that live there.
