WORK EXPERIENCE

During the Term 3 school holidays, 28 students chose to spend their break gaining real-world experience across a range of industries.

A big congratulations to these students for their initiative, and to the employers who continue to support and value career exploration!

We’re so grateful to the amazing local employers who opened their doors to our students during work experience!

Thank you to: I-MED Radiology, Red Cliffs Physiotherapy, DHM Partners, Duel Chelate, ALTSA, GSD Architects, Mildura Health Private Hospital, Deakin Dental, MDD Electrical, Trisled Human Powered Vehicles, Ronco Motors, Quinn & Co, Mulcahy & Co, Leonards Plumbing, Melbourne Victory Football Club, Trilogy Finance, Mallee Engineering Services, Bread & Butter Bakery, Essential Energy, SCHS, ABW Group, Mallee 4x4, Jade Benham – Member for Mildura, and Ultimate Building Solutions.

Work experience is the short-term placement of students with employers to provide insights into the industry and the workplace in which they are located. Students are encouraged to organise their work experience placement early so that they have the greatest chance of securing their place of choice.

It provides students with the valuable opportunity to:

  • Develop employability skills.
  • Explore possible career options.
  • Understand employer expectations.
  • Increase their self-understanding, maturity, independence, and self-confidence

Term 4 School Holidays - Final day to return work experience arrangement form Friday, October 24 (no extensions to this date will be made).

Work Experience can occur between December 1 to December 12.
