News from the Art Department
Our Years 9 and 10 Visual Art students are busily preparing their final artworks for 2025. Year 9 students have been designing and painting their own unique skateboard decks, showcasing creativity, individuality and technical skill. Meanwhile, Year 10 students are developing their resolved individual projects, exploring the guiding question: “How can I use symbols to create a resolved artwork that represents aspects of myself?” Their works beautifully reflect personal identity and thoughtful artistic expression – a testament to their dedication and growing confidence as young artists.

The Drama rooms at Saint Augustine’s have been buzzing with creativity this term!
Our Year 7 students have been exploring realism and ethics through the thought-provoking play Twenty Dollars, examining how everyday choices reveal character and conscience.
Year 8s have dived headfirst into the world of comedy, experimenting with parody, slapstick and stand-up routines in their very own Saints Comedy Club. Their humour and originality have brought plenty of laughter to the classroom!
Meanwhile, Year 9s are tapping into their personal experiences, crafting original monologues inspired by their favourite sporting memories, blending authenticity, emotion, and performance skill.
Our Year 10 and 11 Drama students are taking things to the next level, refining their acting and responding techniques as they prepare for the challenges and creativity of senior drama next year.
Saints Drama continues to be a space for courage, expression and storytelling – and the boys' talent has been shining through.
