Year 9 Rewards Day - Jamberoo

Our Year 9 students embarked on an adventure to Jamberoo Action Park as a well-deserved reward for their hard work and achievements. Excitement buzzed through the air as the students eagerly anticipated a day of thrilling water rides and camaraderie. Students navigated the twists and turns of water slides, enjoyed the refreshing splash of wave pools, and shared laughter amidst the backdrop of Jamberoo's scenic surroundings. Year 9 students relished the opportunity to unwind, strengthen friendships, and bask in the joy of a well-earned day of fun at Jamberoo Action Park.

Looking ahead

As we approach the end of the school year, we want to extend our heartfelt congratulations to both you and your child for the incredible journey through Year 9. It has been a year of growth, learning, and memorable experiences.

Now, as we look ahead to Year 10, we recognise the increasing academic demands and the importance of solid study habits. To help your child navigate the rigours of Year 10, we would like to offer some tips for a smooth transition:

  1. Develop a Consistent Study Schedule: Encourage your child to establish a regular study routine. Consistency is key to effective learning, and having a set schedule helps create a sense of stability.
  2. Set Realistic Goals: Work with your child to set achievable short-term and long-term goals. This will not only provide direction but also a sense of accomplishment as they progress.
  3. Create a Dedicated Study Space: Help your child create a quiet, well-lit study environment free from distractions. Having a designated space for studying can improve focus and productivity.
  4. Encourage Effective Time Management: Teach your child to prioritise tasks and manage their time effectively. This skill is crucial in balancing academic responsibilities with extracurricular activities.
  5. Promote Healthy Habits: Ensure your child is getting enough sleep, maintaining a balanced diet, and engaging in regular physical activity. A healthy lifestyle contributes significantly to overall well-being and academic success.
  6. Communicate Openly: Foster open communication with your child about their academic experiences. Be supportive, listen to their concerns, and celebrate their achievements, no matter how small.

Wishing you and your child a wonderful break and looking forward to another year of growth and achievement in Year 10!
