Excellence in Geography

Geography students in 8S, 8G, 9S and 10S participated in the 2023 Australian Geography Competition to test their geographic knowledge and skills against students from all over the country.

The competition is run by the Royal Geographical Society of Queensland and the Australian Geography Teachers' Association. It aims to encourage student interest in Geography and to reward student excellence.

This year students were tested on a wide range of geographical topics including: sustainability; interconnections around the world; urban development; population change; impacts of climate and mapping skills.
