This Week's Updates

Dear Families,

Our St John's parish community spirit was well and truly alive over the weekend at the fete. Our St James families were very well represented on many stalls as well as the bump in, bump out and general organisation. Thank you to the many families who contributed to the success of the fete via donations of goods, time and dollars.

A special mention to Jen Harvey, our Rep on the fete committee who did so much to make the fete the success it was for all of our students.

Our St James Choir, Bucket Drummers and Talent Quest entrants all performed very skilfully and courageously on stage during the sunny afternoon.

Colouring Competition winners:

Parent Education Evening: "Helping Me Help My Child's Wellbeing"

Maria Ruberto's presentation was reasonably well attended last Thursday evening and the immediate feedback from the parents there was extremely favourable. We will have more detailed feedback in next week's newsletter.

The following morning, Maria was booked in to present to the staff 8.30 - 10.30am.  The content was so engaging and Maria was so enthusiastic that her presentation finished at 11.15am.

Prep to Year 4 Swimming Program

It’s been a busy but successful first Week of Swimming for our Prep to Year Four students. As move into our last week of swimming, we remind parents that students will be participating in a Water Safety day on Thursday 23rd November. Students will engage in water safety activities, incorporating personal survival skills, swimming in clothing during the session. Students are required to swim in their bathers and clothes. Short sleeved top and shorts are preferred. No onesies please.

Please ensure your child comes to swimming lessons with their bathers on

and their clothes in a plastic bag ready for the activities. The plastic bag is needed to take their wet clothes home again.

On Friday, the students will participate in Fun Day. Activities will be set up and supervised for students on their last day of the program.
