End of Year

As we move to the end of 2023 it is an opportunity to pass on our gratitude and sincere thanks to all families for their support throughout the year. We are privileged to be able to work with the young people in our care and are always working in partnership with the Parents/Guardians/Carers as the primary educators. We do not always get everything right, but the majority of students we see clearly have fantastic growth and development, and a positive and productive relationships with the family. Thank to everyone for their support. 

We are always open to feedback and suggestions for improvement so please feel free to contact me at the College if you would like to discuss any issues or make any suggestions for our growth as a community.

2024 - New Bell Times

As we look ahead to 2024 we are changing the period length from 71 minutes to 60 minutes to enable more frequency of contact with teachers for better learning outcomes. This means the school day will be five periods instead of four on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday with the school day commencing at 8.40 am and concluding at 3.03 pm. 

To facilitate staff professional learning,  students will conclude every Tuesday at 2.20 pm. The new bell times for 2024 at attached below.

We will continue with the 10 day cycle. School bus times will be adjusted to suit the new timetable.

Key Dates

In the last few days of school please be aware of the following key dates:

• Tuesday 5 December 2023, 10.21 am: Year 10 & 11 Awards Assembly, Wheeler.
• Wednesday 6 December 2023, 10.21 am: Year 7, 8 & 9 Awards Assembly, Wheeler 
• Wednesday 6 December 2023, 12.00 pm: Whole School Mass of Thanksgiving, Wheeler. 
• Wednesday 6 December 2023, 1.00 pm: End of  Term 4, 2023 for all students.
• Wednesday 13 December  2023: Teaching Staff conclude.
• Wednesday 20 December 2023: School Office closes.
• Wednesday, 17 January 2024: School Office opens for the year. 
• Wednesday, 31 January 2024:  Years 7, 11 & 12 students only, return for start of Term 1, 2024  (Day 8). Please note new starting time of 8.40 am.
• Thursday, 1 February 2024:  All students return for the start of Term 1, 2024 (Day 9). Please note new starting time of 8.40 am.

Christmas

As we move into the season of Advent we pray that, as a community, we are all preparing our hearts to receive Our Lord more deeply into our hearts and lives. May the coming of the Christ Child fill your hearts and families with the peace, love and joy of Our Lord this Christmas. Prayers for a blessed, happy and holy Christmas for all our families. 

We look forward to seeing all our students back in 2024 after a good family break.
