Year 9C Physical Education - Netball SEPEP
Creating Futures Together
In PE, 9C has been running and competing in a netball tournament over the last three weeks. They were put into teams and then assigned themselves roles such as Coach, Umpire, Equipment Manager, Scorer/Timekeeper, and Captain.
The Coach would run their team through a warmup and skill-building drills at the beginning of each session and players on the ‘duty team’ would give votes towards the League MVP award after each match.
Conducting learning experiences like this allows students to have a sense of purpose and control over their personal learning journey. In addition to this, students gain valuable skills that expand beyond the classroom and can be utilised in a variety of settings in everyday life. Well done to the
winning team and to all students who participated in this program and we hope you had fun along the way!
League MVP – Will Phillips
