Around our School

In support of National Walk Safely to School Day, our Stage 3 students organised an exciting scavenger hunt for our Junior Joeys, Kindergarten, and Year 1 students.
Following a trail of clues, our younger students navigated their way safely across zebra crossings, past road signs, and around work-in-progress zones to complete the hunt with their Stage 3 peers.
It was a fantastic orientation opportunity for our Junior Joeys, helping them build confidence in their school environment.Well done to everyone!
Fun in the sun with Geoff from Gecko Sports Young. First up were throwing and catching drills, then it was game on!
Year 6 has been exploring Vincent Lingiari and the historic Wave Hill Walk-Off, gaining an understanding of the fight for Aboriginal land rights and civil justice. Inspired by the Gurindji people's determination, students integrated this history into their English lesson by analyzing the structure of formal petitions.
Focusing on paragraph structure and descriptive writing, they learned to construct cohesive paragraphs with strong topic sentences to build compelling arguments.
Students in Stage 3 are learning about earth and the celestial bodies which are a part of our solar system.
On Friday, they were designing a rocket to take them to a planet. They were researching about the planet they were going to visit, how long it would take them to get there, who was travelling with them and the type of data they would bring back to earth.
Students will then select a rocket design to build. They also used the Lego Spike to design and build rovers to go to Mars to photograph the terrain.
Collecting Colour by Kylie Dunstan is a vibrant and culturally rich book that transports readers to Arnhem Land, following two young girls, Rose and Olive, as they assist their mothers and aunties in the traditional art of pandanus weaving.
After reading the story, Year 2 have been busy creating their own pandanus mats - and don't they look great!
When your relief teacher is Mrs Cusack, it's netball for sport!
