VCE Art -Making and Exhibiting

On Monday August 7, the VCE Art -Making and Exhibiting class ventured into the city for an excursion. As part of their Art course, both Year 11 and 12 students are required to visit exhibition spaces and artists that they can reference  in their Outcomes.

The first part of the morning was spent enjoying some free time exploring the amazing collection at NGVI- National Gallery of Victoria (International).

We then heading back to NGVA at Federation Square for an hours tour with an Education Officer viewing the 'Melbourne Now' Exhibition in which she addressed some of the key points for their Outcomes, looking at conservation issues.

After lunch, we all enjoyed an hour perusing the Pierre Bonnard: Designed by India Mahdavi exhibition which was just brilliant.

Everyone enjoyed the day and gained a lot of information that they will be using in their work this term.  A big THANK YOU to Mrs Paula Waller and Mr Victor Lee for accompanying us on the excursion!
