2024 School for Student Leadership – Year 9 Term 2 at the Gnurad Gundidji Campus

Dear 2024 Year 9 Students, Parents and Carers,

The School for Student Leadership (SSL) is a Victorian Department of Education and Training school specialising in leadership education for students in Year 9. BHS has been very fortunate to secure a placement for 6x Year 9 students (3 boys and 3 girls) to attend the nine week program in Term 2, 2024 at the School for Student leadership – Gnurad Gundidji campus.

All current Year 8 students attended an Assembly in Week 9 that outlined this amazing program and how to apply for one of the six places representing BHS. Information regarding the program ethos and learning focus in available to students, parents & carers in the Year 8 Form Assembly resources folder on compass. It is essential that parents / carers provide consent for students to apply for this opportunity. Students are able to download an application form or collect a hard copy from Mrs Jennings. I am also available for any questions from students at school or via email.

We have had a team of students experience the School for Student leadership each year at the various campuses (there are four) and highly recommend our BHS students to consider this opportunity if they are passionate and enthusiastic about developing leadership skills and contributing to their community at school and beyond.
