Diocesan Athletics Carnival

Congratulations to all our students who participated in the Armidale Diocesan Athletics Carnival last Friday. A big thank you to our families for transporting and supporting the children all day under very cold and windy conditions. Many students set personal best times and distances and gave their best throughout the day. A special congratulations to Fletcher Andrews and Kane Cameron who were runner-up Age Champions in the 11yrs and 12yrs divisions respectively. The following students have now qualified to attend the Polding Carnival at Homebush in Week 1 of Term 4:

Kane Cameron 12yrs - 100m, Long Jump (1st), 200m (2nd) 

Luke Readett 12yrs - 800m (2nd), 1500m (2nd)

Bau Wolfenden-Woods 12yrs - High Jump (3rd) and Long Jump (1st)

Annabelle Hamilton 12yrs - Shot Put

Angus Hamilton 11yrs - 800m (3rd), 1500 (3rd)

Fletcher Andrews 11yrs - 800m (1st), 1500 (1st)

George Bowden 11yrs - High Jump (3rd)

Levi Swadling 8-10yrs - Shot Put (3rd)

Senior Boys Relay (2nd) - Angus Hamilton, Kaden Blair, Kane Cameron, Luke Readett.

Our Senior Girls Relay also came 3rd - Ruby Selig, Millie Wilson, Miley Taber, Bau Wolfenden-Woods - however, unfortunately, did not qualify to go to Sydney.

 

K-2 Infants Athletics Carnival

The annual Infants Track Carnival will be this Friday 25 August, starting at 12:00pm. It will be held on the school back oval. Students will run in the age race they turn this year - 8/9yrs 2015 & 2014, 7yrs 2016, 5/6yrs 2017 & 2018. This will be followed by Year relays and a Pre-School race. Families are welcome to come and support the children on the day.  

Soccer and Netball Gala Day

The soccer and netball Gala Day will take place in Tamworth on Friday 15 September. All parents who showed an interest in their child participating in this event will need to consent and pay on Compass by this Friday 25 August. There is a bus available to transport children to the Gala Day, it is an additional cost of $36. Please contact the school if you have any questions or concerns. Training will continue during Friday sports sessions. Please remind your child to bring the required equipment for their allocated sport. All children should be bringing a water bottle and a school hat.

Secondary Sport 

School Sport

Students will continue our annual house sports competition this week. Teams will compete against each other every week and the champion to be announced later in the term. Selected students will be at production rehearsals.

NSW CCC Athletics Championships

Congratulations to all students who attended the Armidale Diocesan Athletics Carnival in week 4. Our students represented Holy Trinity well and the following will travel to Sydney on the 11th of September to compete at the NSWCCC Athletics Championships:

Lorenzo Mudaliar, Griffin Sanderson, Dustin Uebergang, Angus Norman, Kaidhn Holder, Dalton Richards, Darcy Oakes, Jonah Moore, Cody Uebergang, Archie Bolch, Max Sweeney and Olivia Selig. 

 

School Record

Congratulations to Dustin Uebergang who is the new school record holder of the 14yrs Boys 400m running race. Dustin broke a long standing record, which was previously held by Pat Lennon, when he recorded a time of 58:00 seconds at our annual athletics carnival. Well done Dustin!
