2023 Gunnedah Primary School Touch Gala Day

Last Tuesday, 10 Sacred Heart students attended the Gunnedah Touch Gala Day

 organised through NSW Touch. Two teams were registered, a junior mixed and senior mixed team. Both teams had a fantastic day and all children showed great sportsmanship and impeccable behaviour. William Horwood was presented with a Gunnedah Goannas singlet for his athletic touch football skills on the day and Xanthia Watson was awarded a cap for the way she welcomed and thanked extra children that joined her team. A special thank you to children from St. Xaviers Gunnedah, Mullaley Public School and Carroll Public School for joining our Senior Mixed side and allowing us to have substitutes during our games. Special thanks also to Mr Ash Gough for training the children at second half lunch in the lead up to the competition. Thank you Kate Groves and Kate Gough for managing the Senior team on the day while I stayed with the Junior team when games were on at the same times.
