School Concert

As the term ends, we have had an exciting finish to the teaching and learning program here at PPPS with successful school concerts. After a break due to covid since 2019, the concert made a much awaited return and it did not disappoint. Two nights of great music, dance and acting was a culmination of so much hard work from our students, parents and staff. A special thanks to the main characters who rehearsed so meticulously and to our concert leaders, Mr Stubberfield, Ms Thomas and Ms Emery.

Playing your part to keep our students safe

I would like to take the chance to highlight some concerns around traffic safety before and after school. There continues to be issues with adhering to speed limits, double parking and leaving vehicles in drop off zones. All these actions increase stress levels and possibly endanger our students. Please stay calm, drive safely, and make decisions based on what is fair and reasonable without putting yourself first. Hopefully together we can strive to improve the safety for all members of our school community next term and beyond.

New Building is open!

This week we have been granted access to the new Library, Art Room and Science space. Our staff have frantically been moving the old Library contents to the new Library so that internal demolition works on the Administration Block can occur on the upcoming school holidays. The plan is for students to begin using these amazing new spaces on October 3rd when we return to school for Term 4. On the 9th October we will hold a tour for interested parents straight after our Monday morning assembly.

Enrolments for 2024

It is that time of year when school leadership teams focus in on staffing for the next year. I have met individually with each teacher on staff to ascertain their future plans. We are currently attempting to project student numbers for 2024 so it will be very helpful of you to inform us of any changes to your plans for your children for next year. If you plan to move house or are choosing another educational option for your child then please speak to the office.

School Review

On Monday I met with my manager, the Senior Education Improvement Leader, Anthony and our elected school reviewer Natalie to plan the Term 4 review process that will provide us with an opportunity to celebrate the last four years and plan for 2024 -2027. Staff, students and parents will be canvassed for feedback and ideas for the future. Our parent session will be held from 9am on Friday 27th October. If you are available to drop in, meet with the review team and share your thoughts it would be greatly appreciated.

Have a great holiday break

Wishing everyone in our school community a wonderful two-week break. Staff can recharge and prepare for Term 4, students can rest and enjoy family time, whilst parents get the chance to spend a little more time with their children. Monday 2nd October is 3 Way Conference Day, and then on Tuesday we are back – including learning in our new building!
