Welcome to Week 5 of Term 3 at Leongatha Primary School

Welcome to Week 5.

Welcome to Week 5 – Term 3

It is hard to believe we are already at the halfway point of Term 3. As always, there is a great deal happening across Leongatha Primary School, with students engaging in a wide range of learning opportunities both inside and outside the classroom.

This week, our Grade 5 students will be participating in their swimming program. Swimming is an important part of the Victorian Curriculum and provides students with the opportunity to develop essential water safety knowledge, confidence and lifelong swimming skills. Living in Australia, where many of us enjoy our beaches, rivers and pools, these skills are invaluable and contribute to keeping our children safe while promoting healthy, active lifestyles.

On Wednesday, a group of our talented students will travel to Melbourne for the second rehearsal of the Victorian State Schools Spectacular. Being selected to perform in this prestigious event is an outstanding achievement and provides students with the opportunity to work alongside thousands of students from across Victoria in a professional performance environment. The Spectacular celebrates creativity, teamwork, perseverance and excellence in the performing arts, and we are incredibly proud of our students as they continue this exciting journey.

We also wish our Grade 4 students all the very best as they head off to Woorabinda Camp. Camps provide wonderful opportunities for students to build independence, resilience and confidence while strengthening friendships and creating lasting memories. We know they will embrace every challenge, enjoy the outdoor experiences and represent Leongatha Primary School with pride.

As always, thank you to our staff and families for your continued support of the many opportunities we provide for our students. We look forward to another fantastic week of learning, growth and connection across our school community.
