Empowering the Next Generation

Welcome to the 2025 School Year! We will begin our year officially by welcoming our students and staff during our opening assemblies, where we acknowledged those who have taken on leadership roles within the College.

Developing leadership skills in our students is as crucial to their personal growth as it is to our collective future.  The young people of today will shape tomorrow, and it is essential that they are equipped with the skills and confidence to positively impact their communities.

Leadership skills are invaluable in every aspect of life, from the classroom to the boardroom. At Good News, our students are given numerous opportunities to embrace leadership, participate in real-world projects, and engage in meaningful conversations with their peers and staff.

Students who take on leadership roles or engage in leadership activities learn how to face challenges, make informed decisions, and communicate effectively. They also develop problem-solving skills, which are essential in today's fast-paced and constantly evolving world. Every student at GNLC has the opportunity to lead, whether or not they hold an official title.

Service leadership provides a unique opportunity for young people to combine their spiritual beliefs with practical action. Through participation in service projects and volunteer work, students not only building leadership skills but also make a positive impact in their community. These experiences strengthen their values and help them understand the connection between their beliefs and actions.

By combining leadership development with a strong focus on service, Good News Lutheran College complements its academic program with a well-rounded education that prepares students to become responsible, compassionate, and effective leaders in the future.
