Active Paths - Launch
In 2024 students worked with staff from the Bicycle Network Community Outreach team, staff from the Mornington Peninsula Shire and Peninsula Health school engagement workers to discuss how the students of St Mary's travel safely around their community and to school. Pathways were discussed and a panel of students and a plan has been developed.
On Friday the 21st February we will have our annual Walk to School Day where we will gather and walk to school along one of the marked and designated pathways. The program will then be launched at school by the Bicycle Network team.
More information on the pathways and safe travel routes will be communicated to the school community in the coming weeks.
Womin Djeka Festival - Saturday 1st March
St Mary's is thrilled to be taking part in the Womin Djeka Festival for the third year in a row. It is set to be a wonderful family friendly community festival honouring and celebrating First Peoples Cultures.
We will be having a stall in the schools section of the festival sharing some of the wonderful learning we are doing to honour and celebrate First Peoples Cultures at our amazing school.
If you are available on the day and would like to volunteer some time on our school stall, please contact Miss Dullard at school or via email: ndullard@smhastings.catholic.edu.au
