Introducing the Year 9 Hub team for 2025
Broadening Horizons Program
Last week, some of our students who have transitioned into Year 9 attended a pilot program with 'Broadening Horizons'. This is a program designed to bridge the gap between the classroom and the workplace, connecting industry and schools to raise the engagement and aspirations of our students.
Students met with lots of new people, including some students from another school in the area and worked closely with the East Gippsland Shire Council, exploring jobsites and being handed some challenges relevant to the East Gippsland area.
The students presented at the Chamber of Commerce in front of Council members and teachers, where their professionalism and enthusiasm were evident.
We are super proud of the students for stepping outside of their comfort zone and participating in a new type of learning and we are very excited to work with Broadening Horizons again in the future.
End of year BBQ
Today our Year 8 and Year 9 student leaders were absolutely amazing at cooking the BBQ for their year levels to enjoy and celebrate all that was 2024.
