What a fantastic start our 2025 Year 8 students have had! They’ve done an amazing job settling into new teachers, classrooms and some exciting new technology subjects. It’s been a big step up, and we’re so proud of the resilience and positivity they’ve shown over the past two weeks.
Next week, we’re looking forward to a more relaxed activity week, with the alternative program wrapping up on Wednesday. We’d like to wish all our students and families a safe and joyful Christmas and holiday break. Thank you for a wonderful year, and we can’t wait to see everyone back in 2025 for another exciting chapter!
We are excited to offer students the option to attend camp and participate in camp activities and workshops provided by The Reach Foundation in March 2025.
At this stage we're seeking expressions of interest to gage how many students are wishing to attend. There will be a link on compass for students who have been away to express their interest.
The cheeky elf has been paying a visit to the Year 8 Hub this week. Rhani has been very excited to find the elf each morning and has written a note kindly asking the elf if she can have a chocolate out of the stash.
On Friday 13th December our Year 8 and Year 9 student leaders were absolutely amazing at cooking the BBQ for their year levels to enjoy and celebrate all that was 2024.
During HeadStart, 8E students engaged in a debating unit in English about the conjoined twins, Rosie and Gracie. The students wrote excellent speeches and delivered them with passion and eloquence. At the end of the unit, they reflected on the soft skills that they have practiced and learnt from debating - listening skills, problem solving and collaboration.
