Jubilee Year: Pilgrams of Hope

This year we will focus on the theme of the Jubilee Year: Pilgrams of Hope. We will consider how we can bring hope to ourselves, others in our school community and those in the wider community.

The offical logo of the Jubilee Year helps guide us for the year. Our students will be exploring this logo and what it means in the coming weeks.

Red symbolises love, passion and self sacrifice.

Oranges expresses joy, vitality and enthusiasm.

Green is universally recognised as the colour of hope, growth and rebirth.

Blue symbolises faith, peace and tranquility.

The four figures represent humanity as a whole. They embrace each other as a sign of brotherhood.

The cross is not rigid, it bends towards humanity as if to embrace it.

The waves represent the fact that life is not always smooth.

Anchors are used by ships to steady themselves. What better anchor than the cross.
