Year 5 Update

Upcoming Learning - Weeks 6 & 7

Reading - To demonstrate our comprehension of our class novel "Wonder". This text has been a great way to explore point of view and perspectives. We look forward to watching the movie closer to the end of term.
Writing - To plan, draft and edit an information report using the correct structure and language. Students have enjoyed integrating their knowledge of their country into Writing sessions. Any extra research they can do at home is welcomed.
Maths- To explore volume and capacity. This is a great opportunity to estimate and measure at home! Hands on experiences will be very valuable.
SEL- To explore the physical, social and emotional changes associated with puberty.
Inquiry- To develop our geographical knowledge of Europe and North America.

To celebrate Grade 5 coming to an end, students are invited to attend "Little Day Out" - our end of year excursion!

When: Monday December 4th 2023

Where: Doveton Pools

Cost: $36

How: Bus- Students will leave and return to Hillsmeade within normal school hours.

Food: Students are encouraged to pack a picnic lunch.
