A huge thank you to everyone for your fundraising efforts for the Colour Run last term! I am very pleased to announce that as requested by the students, the Gaga Pit has now been built and will be in action ASAP. So fabulous to see the hard work of our families come to life so quickly after our event. Looking forward to seeing some big Gaga Ball tournaments in the coming months!
As mentioned in our previous newsletter we are very close to finalising our student numbers and classes for next year.
Our first transition session commences on 22nd November, so please ensure you have enrolled prior to this date!
All transition sessions also double as parent information sessions, so please make sure both you and your child attend each session.
The after school information session will be held on Thursday 30th November 5pm - 6pm.
Just a reminder that students do not attend school on this day, however OSHC will be available.
As we head towards the end of 2023, I ask you to please keep an eye on Compass for updates and to monitor the school calendar. Lots of events are planned and Compass is our main source of communication with families.
From Monday 20th November until Friday 24th November, we will be hosting the Lamont Book Fair in our school library. Similar to previous years, families will have the opportunity to purchase books from the fair, which will be open each morning from 8:15-8:45am and each afternoon from 3:15-3:45pm.
Classes will have the ability to visit the Book Fair during their library session that week and browse the selection of books on show. The Book Fair presents a perfect opportunity to sort some Christmas presents, with every purchase also supporting our school.
I would just like to let families know that teachers have been advised to hold all Christmas activities and festivities until Friday 1st December.
As you would be aware, Christmas has been in retail outlets since October and our students have ongoing exposure via social media, television, online etc. We endeavour to keep things as routine and normal as possible in such a busy and long term. Therefore, we also ask families to please adhere to this with the giving of Christmas cards, gifts, wearing Christmas attire etc, holding off until 1st December.
Please be aware of the following dates:
Monday January 29th - Staff return
Tuesday January 30th - Students in Years 1-6 return
Friday 2nd February - All Prep students attend first day
(Prep students will attend for 1:1 sessions with their teachers on either 30/1, 31/1 or 1/2 - allocated times to be distributed)
