Music News

Dear Families,

We have had a great week preparing for our school concert; The Greatest Show!

It is a variety night with a mixture of different acts and performances. We hope to showcase the skills of the students with some singing, dancing, drama, ukulele playing, bucket drumming and percussion.

It has been a busy and joyful week watching the students polish and prepare their acts for our concert. We can't wait for you to see the talent we have at Sacred Heart!

On Wednesday 1st November, all the students will travel by bus to the Thornbury Theatre to practice on the stage, this will also allow the students to become familiar with the venue before our performance. Please make sure you have completed the permission notice for this - it was sent via email during the week.

For the night of the concert, we'd like to start at 7pm...so please ensure the children arrive at the Thornbury Theatre dressed in their costume between 6.30 - 6.40pm. They need to meet the teachers up the stairs and inside the venue. Parents can remain in the upstairs foyer area whilst students need to join their class inside the theatre/stage area until it is time for the audience to enter.

Parking can be a little tricky in the area so please allow time to find a park. There will be refreshments available in the upstairs foyer prior to the concert and the venue has also asked me to share these details with you too.
