Principal News

Dear Sacred Heart Community

Prayer

Welcome Antoinette Stasi

As announced in last week's newsletter, Jess is taking on a new position next year as Deputy Principal at St Mary of the Cross Mackillop Primary School in Epping North.

I am pleased to introduce Antoinette Stasi who will be taking on Jess' role in 2024. Antoinette currently holds the Deputy Principal, Learning and Teaching and Literacy Coordinator roles at John's Primary School in Clifton Hill. Antoinette will bring a wealth of educational experience, wisdom and passion to our school in 2024.

Replacing Jess has been an incredibly important task and I am confident that in Antoinette, Sacred Heart has been able to recruit another educational leader with the qualities that will allow our school to continue to strive for outstanding learning and teaching.

Antoinette will introduce herself with a letter to our community published in our school newsletter in the coming weeks.

School Concert - "Sacred Heart's Greatest Show"

For those of you who were able to see your children perform last night, you do not need my words to explain what a magnificent performance they put on showcasing their talent, enthusiasm and willingness to challenge themselves in front of hundreds of people.

Thank you to all involved in putting on Sacred Heart's Greatest Show. I would like to thank our dedicated and passionate staff who under Kate's leadership and guidance allowed your children, our students to have such a wonderful experience entertaining our community.

"It truly was Sacred Heart's Greatest Show"

New Soccer/Football Jerseys

Our football/soccer team will be the most impressively decked out team next year, when our Year Five/Six students compete in the Friday interschool sport competition against the other primary schools in our sport district.

I would like to thank the incredible generosity of Peter and Anne Hall (grandparents of our Year Three student Cody) who donated the money to purchase these jerseys. This is the second occasion Anne and Peter have made such a donation to our school for which we are incredibly thankful. Last time their donation was anonymous but after talking with them both, in their humble way they were happy to be acknowledged this time.

Thank you Anne and Peter from our Sacred Heart community.

Swimming Program

Cristina has been working hard to procure a swimming program for our Foundation through to Year Four students. Arrangements are almost finalised with the brand new Northcote Aquatic Centre which is very exciting. We will be the first school to use the new facility. Once details are finalised hopefully tomorrow, we will give you all the information needed

Please be aware chess classes will recommence  this Wednesday 8th November after the break this week due to our school concert.
