Seb Churches attended the 9/10 Discus Event on Wednesday November 1st at the 2023 SSV Primary State Track & Field Championships.

A full field of 16-competitors from all regions of Victoria battled it out at Lakeside Stadium Albert Park on a perfect day with only a light breeze circling around the venue.

Seb Churches throws a PB of 29.77m to put himself in the mix and placed in 2nd position at completion of the first round of throws.

Spurred on with support of his Family and his close friend Levi Di-Carlo and his Family, Seb tried his best to better his position with his 3-remaining throws just falling shy in the mid 28m range..

The end result was a 7th place finish for Seb with a number of competitors finding some late form during their final throws.  Overall a pleasing performance and very happy Seb picking up on some valuable competition experience which will stick with him for years to come.
