STEM Decathlon Thrills Year 7 and 8 Students at KIOSC!

We're thrilled to share an electrifying STEM Decathlon event that recently unfolded on the 31 October at Scoresby Secondary College, featuring our enthusiastic Year 7 and 8 students.  Hosted at KIOSC, the STEM Decathlon brought science, technology, engineering, and mathematics challenges to the forefront, offering an unforgettable day of hands-on learning, teamwork, and fun.

A Day of Exciting Challenges

The STEM Decathlon is not your typical competition. It comprises a series of captivating challenges that span the domains of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Our students, along with their counterparts from partner schools, engaged in a friendly yet fierce competition throughout the day, all with one goal: to claim the title of STEM Champion School!

A Spooky Twist for Halloween

As if the excitement of the STEM Decathlon wasn't enough, our students were in for an extra thrill. The competition day coincided with Halloween, and it was nothing short of 'spooky' challenges that awaited them. From solving riddles to navigating mazes with a scientific twist, our young scientists embraced the eerie spirit of the day with enthusiasm.

Our Year 7 and 8 students demonstrated unparalleled enthusiasm and passion for STEM as they tackled the challenges. They exhibited problem-solving skills, creativity, and resilience while working in teams, showcasing their commitment to STEM education.

Undoubtedly, the STEM Decathlon at KIOSC provided our students with a memorable experience beyond the confines of traditional classroom learning.
