Art & Technology Showcase

It’s been a busy and exciting time in Art for the last couple of weeks. The whole team in Art and Technology had been flat out preparing for the Showcase.

I have had a guest in my classes, Pre-Service Teacher Keeley Mcleod.  Last week who created some great lessons for the Junior classes.

7B took a break after completing their Analysis last week to create some wacky hats, 8B experimented with creating images out of abstract inkblots, and the Year 9 class created a collaborative piece to commemorate Remembrance Day.

We hope we saw many of you at the Art & Technology Showcase on the 16th and then look forward to the department settling back to normality for the last few weeks of the year!

Creative & Innovative Designs

During 2023 in Product Design, students have made remarkable progress and achieved significant milestones this year. Their creative solutions and innovative designs have been impressive, reflecting their dedication and talent.

From concept development of a design brief, application of the design process to realising final prototypes is impressive. Students have demonstrated a range of talent and skill in designing and producing some exceptional pieces of work.

Students are demonstrating a strong grasp of technical concepts, creativity in problem-solving, and a keen understanding of design principles. Their ability to apply these skills to real-world projects is noteworthy, showcasing their potential for future success in the field. Keep up the great work!

The Arts and Technology Exhibition of student works was held last night.

An exhilarating display of works by students at Scoresby Secondary College including works from several partner primary schools were also on display.  Next newsletter I look forward to sharing highlights.

Well done on a successful year of accomplishments in product design!
