God's Love and Care for All

Term 4, Week 5

As many of you may know, I  spent four weeks travelling throughout Israel and Palestine when I was overseas. A group of twenty Catholic Primary principals had the opportunity to visit the Holy Land and as they say walk in the footsteps of Jesus.

Like all of us I was shocked with the events that have unfolded and I wanted to share with you an email I received from Peter Bray, a New Zealand De LA Salle Brother, who is the vice Chancellor of Bethlehem University. I met Peter when he addressed us in the chapel (see picture) as he expressed his hopes and dreams for the students attending the University.

Yesterday, November 2nd, we celebrated All Souls Day, a day honoring the departed souls. Families pray, light candles, and visit graves, remembering and honoring their loved ones in a solemn tradition. The day can be a  reminder of the interconnectedness of life and the enduring bond between the living and the departed souls.

Get your house team colours out next Friday as we venture down to  ANZAC Park Craigieburn Athletics Track for our annual Athletics Carnival. Don't forget water, sunscreen and hats for everyone. Mr Whitty has a fun-filled day planned for everyone. Spectators are welcome and be ready for the parent races.

Speaking of great running congratulations to Nana in  Year 5C who came second in the 100m sprint at the State Athletics Championships. Looking forward to seeing him at the Olympic Games in Brisbane in 2032 !!

Enjoy the Cup Weekend and see you all next Wednesday

Take Care

Paul
