Year 4 - 6 Cricket

District Cricket

On Wednesday the 1st November, some Years 4, 5 and 6 girls went to Cricket at the Dennington Reserve. We played against St John's and lost. We played against Woodford and won by a couple of wickets. Then it was time to hear if we got into the finals, and guess what, we got into the grand final! We were all so excited to play again. We played against Woodford and won again.  This meant we got to play in Hamilton on Friday. Good job Woodford and St John's.

Division Cricket

Friday 3rd November, girls from Years 4, 5 and 6 travelled to Hamilton to compete in the Division Cricket. It was a fantastic day singing on the bus and playing Cricket. Students were very successful on the day and played in the Grand Final. The girls came up against a strong Tarrington Lutheran School and were short a few runs on the day. Congratulations to all students who represented our College with excellence and gave their best performances on the day.

Christie Stephen

Junior School Teacher

This year the Junior School has had three Cricket teams and I was in one of them. I was in the girls team and we made it to the next round, division in Hamilton. That was the second time we have been to the next round. Both those times, we got into the Grand Final. Last year was the first time I properly played Cricket. Playing Cricket encouraged me to join a Cricket team. I now play club Cricket at Nestles Cricket Club. You never know what trying something new will be, so I found you should too, give things a go because you never know if you'll enjoy it or not.
