Footy Colours Day
The grade 1/2 students did an excellent job participating in Footy Colours Day. It was wonderful to see everyone dressed up in their team colours. Thank you to families for their support of this day.
SEDA Clinics
Our grade 1/2 students have been lucky enough to participate in sports clinics run by SEDA students. They have rotated through activities including: Soccer, AFL drills and Basketball. The students have done a great job participating showing lots of great teamwork, encouragement and persistence.
Whole - school reward - Pyjama Day
Our students all looked warm and snug whilst enjoying the chance to wear their PJs to school. We wonder which reward we will reach in term 4!
Reading, Writing and Spelling:
Students will be reading and writing for a range of purposes in term 4, including letter writing, constructing procedural texts relating to our unit on Robots. They will also practise forming an opinion on different topics, then writing persuasive pieces to showcase their opinion. Our focus books will include:

Mathematics: During our Mathematics lessons we will focus on a range of concepts, including: addition and subtraction using efficient strategies, time (analogue - o'clock, 1/2 past, quarter to and quarter past) and place value (ones, tens, hundreds, thousands).
Topic: Our unit next term is called 'Robot Buddies'. Students will focus on the skills of design and creativity. They will investigate the use of different materials and explore the idea of designing a robot to help solve a problem.
RRRR: Next term's Respectful Relationships topic is 'Problem Solving'. Students will focus on the size of different problems they might encounter and will participate in a range of games and activities which encourage problem solving skills and co-operation.
