STEM IMAX Excursion
On Wednesday 4th of September the Year 3/4 students caught a train into the city and went to IMAX. We watched 2 movies on the big screen. The first movie wasn't in 3D and it was called extreme weather.
The second movie was in 3D and it was called Australia - The Wild Top End. I have 2 favourite parts of the Imax excursion. The first was the big escalators at Parliament station and my second favourite part of the Imax excursion was the satisfying scenes of the ice melting off the iceberg. We learnt that big pieces of ice bergs can cause a tsunami.

Ripponlea Excursion Prep - Year 2
This week, our Prep - Year 2 students visited Rippon Lea Estate, for an exciting excursion where they stepped back in time to explore life in the past. They learned about family history, children's lives and schooling in the 19th century, through engaging activities like toys, games and sports. The students also had the chance to try on period clothing and explore the beautiful grounds of this grand estate.
Rippon Lea, was built in 1868 and this experience gave the children a glimpse into life on a historic farm and mansion. The highlight was discovering how families lived and worked, and they had lots of fun imagining themselves in a time, that is very different from today! It was a memorable day filled with learning and excitement for us all.

On Wednesday 18th September the juniors went to Ripponlea Estate! My favourite part of the excursion was Creature Catcher because we went on an adventure. I learnt that ladies go first because the men had more privileges. One thing that was really special at Ripponlea was gold on the walls.

On Wednesday, 18th of September, the juniors went to Ripponlea Estate! My favourite part of the excursion was going in to Ripponlea mansion because they showed us around the house. I learnt that the youngest servant was 9 and even though they were having dinner at home they had to dress in a formal way to eat dinner. One thing that was really special at Ripponlea was they were rich enough to have gold on the walls.
