Term 4

In Boarding we have begun the term by reconnecting with all Year 11s after the holidays. As many of the Year 12s have left us, we have been asking the Year 11s to reflect on their next year here as boarders and students, to establish good habits now, ready for Year 12. We have discussed relaxing into your own space and developing maturity and finishing strong to get in front for next year.

We have organised meetings together as a large group and in individual dorms, to discuss how our Year 11s will be our student leaders and role models moving forward and what that looks like. Our Student Councillors have been seeking feedback from their cohorts.

Our Year 12 students who are still here studying for ATAR or completing their Certificate III's have also been passing on what they have learnt over their time to build on success.

Hay fever and Asthma Season

We have seen an increase in presentations of both hay fever and asthma in the past week. At this time of year, both are really prevalent in the community and even newspapers are reporting on an increase in symptomology.

If your child is asthmatic or suffers from hay fever symptoms that lead to the onset of asthma, please ensure they are carrying their Ventolin on them at all times.

Special Dinners and fun events

On Monday 28 October 2024 the Kitchen staff and Student Councillors are hosting our famous "Halloween Dinner". We are encouraging all staff and students to dress up as they eat what can only be described as the most delicious but disgusting looking food this side of Perth. It is certainly a night to remember with activities and prizes.

Our Christmas dinner is on Monday 11 November 2024 and I know the students are looking forward to celebrating with their friends afterwards in their dorms. The girls have organised a secret Santa and a Christmas tree will be set up, which is gorgeous.
