Class 6

Class 6 has been really enjoying Term 3 in our new and improved classroom. Our new Smartboard has been installed and we have settled back into the class routine. We have been busy learning about fractions (whole, halves and quarters), recognising 2D and 3D shapes and continuing to build on our knowledge of different strategies for addition. In Science we have been developing our understanding of habitats and learning about the many different types of habitats there are on our planet and how different organisms have adapted to survive in these habitats. In our integrated Unit, which includes Geography, we have ‘travelled’ to Japan and America, discovering what are popular foods, landmarks, sports and music in these countries. We have been filling our passport up with many stickers showing what we have learnt. This unit is continuing in Term 4 and we can’t wait to see where we will be travelling to next.
