State School Spectacular
This year, 24 of our Level 4 students have been participating, rehearsing and performing as part of the Mass Choir in the Victorian State School Spectacular.
The Mass Choir was made up of over 1000 students from government schools around the state. Students attended rehearsals at school, at the Melbourne Town Hall and at John Cain arena in preparation for the two performances.
Last week, students did two big days of rehearsal at the John Cain Arena where we got to see how the show came together with the Principal Vocalists, Dancers, Mass Dance and the Orchestra - all of which were students from primary and secondary schools from around Victoria! Students did a fantastic job on Saturday, performing in two, three hour shows.
They did a wonderful job singing and dancing along to songs such as “Don’t Stop Me Now”, “Happiness” and “The Cup of Life”.
Overall, Mass Choir students performed in 15 numbers throughout the show. Our students also did a great job representing Jells Park and should be commended on their behaviour and professionalism in rehearsals and performances.
They definitely did our school proud!
Congratulations to all involved on another spectacular year.
Keep an eye out for the show, airing on TV at 7pm on 14th December on Channel 7 and 7plus.
