📚 Library Update – Week 7, Term 3 📚
What a wonderful Book Week it has been! A heartfelt thank you to all our students, families and staff for making this year’s Book Week and Book Week Parade such a joyful and memorable celebration. The costumes, the smiles, and the shared love of stories truly brought our school community together.
Â
A special congratulations to our Best Dressed award winners for 2025! With so many creative and clever costumes, it’s never an easy task to choose. Students were first nominated by their classroom teachers and then selected by their stage staff. Each of our winners received a $20 voucher to spend at the Book Fair. Well done to all who dressed up and brought their favourite characters to life with colour and flair.
Â
We’d also like to thank everyone who supported our Book Fair. Thanks to your generosity, we raised a fantastic $3,272.50 — that’s 40% of total sales — which will go directly towards purchasing new books and resources for our Library. Your contributions will help us continue to grow a vibrant and diverse collection for all students to enjoy.
Â
In our borrowing challenge, 6J continues to hold the lead as the Top Borrowing Class, with 191 books borrowed so far this term. Hot on their heels is 3C, who have now reached 148 loans. With just a few weeks to go, the competition is still wide open for that hot chip lunch reward.
Â
A quick reminder that our Community Book Swap Library has now been moved to its new home under the Library COLA. This sheltered space keeps it safe from the rain and easy to access before and after school. Thank you to everyone who continues to donate and borrow books — your support keeps the shelves turning and the stories flowing.
Â
Happy reading!
