Sustainability

Market Stall
Thank you for your support at our recent Garden Market Day, where we sold lemons, Mandarins and Rosemary from our school garden. The students enjoyed harvesting earlier that day, deciding on prices as a group and making signs, and then later using their maths skills at the stall. We raised just over $28 to go towards developing our garden and updating our water system.
Garden Update
Thank you to church gardener, Anne, for her ongoing guidance and support with our students each Wednesday, we are so grateful and enjoy seeing her each week.
This week, we planted lettuce, coriander, baby carrots, snow peas, lavender and some potted colour. The birds ate many o our previous seedling plants, so we needed to replant and now the nets have come up! We built a teepee for the broad beans and tied the stems to the bamboo, so they can climb and flourish. Our potatoes are also enjoying this gorgeous winter sun and are growing well.
Students are enjoying wandering through the garden every day watching our plants grow.
Please feel free to come and look at our garden with your children.
Aida - I loved Gardening Club this week. We planted lettuce, carrots and coriander. It was amazing.
Honor - Garden Club is so much fun and teaches me about gardening.
Pruning
As mentioned by Mr Anderson, our fruit trees require pruning so they can continue to thrive in the future. Please contact us if you or someone you know has the expertise to help with this.
Seeking play tools for the sandpit
We are seeking more play tools/toys for the sandpit and imagination garden. Hard plastic, metal or wooden tools please for our strong imaginative students.
