Our Preschool team has some VERY exciting news to share!
As you may know, our service recently underwent the Assessment and Rating process, where early learning centres are assessed against the National Quality Standards (NQS) and given an overall quality rating.
We are incredibly proud to announce that our preschool has been awarded the highest rating – EXCEEDING NQS. 🎉
What does this mean?
For a service to be rated Exceeding NQS overall, all quality areas must be at least Meeting NQS, and four or more must be rated Exceeding, with at least two of these being Quality Areas 1, 5, 6 or 7.
Our preschool exceeded in all 7 quality areas, which is a remarkable achievement. These areas include:
• Educational Program and Practice
• Children’s Health and Safety
• Physical Environment
• Staffing Arrangements
• Relationships with Children
• Collaborative Partnerships with Families and Communities
• Governance and Leadership
Very few services in Australia receive this rating, and it is even more rare to exceed in every single area.
This outcome reflects a five-year journey of dedication, collaboration, and continuous improvement. It has involved many past and present preschool educators, along with the support of our wider school community.
