Music students participate in performances throughout the school year; however, Term 3 is the BIG ONE with many festival performances, along with Music Department events: Paragon 2025 and the Djilba Concerts.
We have over 260 students rehearsing after school each week in our eight ensembles, many of which have junior/senior counterparts:
- Concert Band 2 / Concert Band 1
- Cygnet String Orchestra / Scimitar String Orchestra
- Junior Guitar Ensemble / Senior Guitar Ensemble
- Choir
- Jazz Band
Each of these ensembles is participating in an external Festival, where they perform for an audience and adjudicators. The adjudication provides helpful feedback on what we are doing well and what we can do to improve. Here are some photos of our students warming up or performing at the following festivals:
