Chatting Chair

Environmental Task Force’s Chatting Chair
For over three years, the Environmental Task Force have been collecting cans and bottles within the school grounds and using the funds to beautify the school! This is all in an aim to ensure we are taking Stewardship of the Earth, recognising the importance of recycling, and giving back to our school community.
With a huge thanks to the Upper Hunter Community Support Grant and Perf’s Fabrications, along with about 18,500 collected cans and bottles, the Environmental Task Force (ETF) have introduced a Chatting Chair to the courtyard.
This is a place where students are encouraged to sit if they are looking for a new friend or would like to take a moment just to sit and reflect on their day.
The ETF are hoping this will encourage students of St Joseph’s to socialise, make new connections and engage in positive conversation with each other while looking across the colourful courtyard.
Thank you again to Perf’s Fabrications, Muswellbrook, and the Upper Hunter Shire Council Community Grant, and everyone who has put their can or bottle in our recycling bins!
