A little bit about the show:
Beauty and the Beast is an iconic screen-to-stage musical with music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Tim Rice, and book by Linda Woolverton. Adapted from Walt Disney Pictures' animated film – which in turn was based on "Beauty and the Beast" by Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont – it tells the story of an unkind prince who has been magically transformed into an unsightly creature as punishment for his selfish ways. To revert himself and his servants back into their true human form, the Beast must learn to love a bright, beautiful young lady who he has imprisoned in his enchanted castle and earn her love in return before it is too late.
With the silverware and the house-decoration’s help, Lumiere and Cogsworth, a footman and butler turned candelabra and clock, try their best to create romance between the Beast and his captive, intelligent and curious Belle. However, Gaston, the town hunk, plans to destroy the Beast once and for all and force his love upon Belle. Can the Beast win Belle’s heart in time to reverse the curse, or will Gaston finally have his little wife? After all, who could really love a Beast?
